Summary

CVE-2023-46130 is a vulnerability affecting versions prior to 3.1.3 of Discourse's `stable` branch and 3.2.0.beta3 of the `beta` and `tests-passed` branches. This issue lies in some theme components allowing users to add SVGs with unlimited height attributes. The consequence is a reduction in the availability of subsequent replies in a topic. Only Discourse instances utilizing the svgbob or mermaid theme component are susceptible. The vulnerability has been rectified in versions 3.1.3 and 3.2.0.beta3. As a temporary solution, administrators can disable or remove the relevant theme components.
