Summary

CVE-2023-46118 is a vulnerability affecting RabbitMQ, a popular messaging and streaming broker. The HTTP API of RabbitMQ failed to implement a limit on request body size, making it susceptible to Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. An authenticated user, with sufficient credentials, can exploit this vulnerability by publishing excessively large messages, causing the target node to terminate due to an "out-of-memory killer" response. This issue has been addressed in versions 3.11.24 and 3.12.7 of RabbitMQ through patches.
