Summary
CVE-2023-46040 is a newly disclosed Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that affects GetSimpleCMS version 3.4.0a. Maliciously crafted payloads can be injected into the components.php function, allowing a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable websites. Successful exploitation could lead to data theft, unauthorized access, or website defacement. Users are strongly advised to upgrade to the latest version of GetSimpleCMS to mitigate this risk.
