Summary

CVE-2023-45862 is a vulnerability affecting the ENE UB6250 reader driver in the Linux kernel prior to version 6.2.5. This issue allows an object to potentially extend beyond the end of an allocation in the file drivers/usb/storage/ene_ub6250.c. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause memory corruption, leading to unintended behavior or denial of service. Successful exploitation may allow the attacker to gain elevated privileges or execute arbitrary code. Users are advised to update their kernel to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
