Summary
CVE-2023-45839 is a data integrity vulnerability affecting Buildroot 2023.08.1 and commit 622698d7847. Multiple vulnerabilities were discovered in the package hash checking functionality of these versions, which can be exploited through man-in-the-middle attacks. The weaknesses allow an attacker to execute arbitrary commands in the builder, related to the `aufs-util` package. Users are advised to update their Buildroot installations as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
