CVE-2023-4583 is a vulnerability affecting Firefox versions below 117, Firefox ESR below 115.2, and Thunderbird below 115.2. In the `HttpBaseChannel` component, there is a flaw in the check for discarded Browsing Contexts. When the load group is not available, the assumption that it has already been discarded does not hold true, especially for private channels after the private session has ended.
