Summary
CVE-2023-45829 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the HappyBox Newsletter & Bulk Email Sender plugin for WordPress. Versions 2.0.1 and below of the plugin are vulnerable. An attacker can exploit this flaw by injecting malicious scripts into the authentication process for contributor-level users. Successful exploitation could result in unauthorized access to user sessions or the ability to steal sensitive data. It is recommended that users of affected versions upgrade to the latest plugin version as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
