Summary

CVE-2023-45827 is a prototype pollution vulnerability affecting the `setByPath` function in the Dot diver library, versions prior to 1.0.2. This issue can lead to remote code execution (RCE). The library, which provides types and functions for working with object paths in dot notation, is used in a dependency-free manner. The vulnerability has been addressed in commit `98daf567` and is now patched in release 1.0.2. It is strongly recommended that users upgrade as soon as possible, as no workarounds are available for this vulnerability.
