Summary
CVE-2023-4581 is a vulnerability affecting Firefox and Thunderbird browsers where Excel `.xll` add-in files lacked a blocklist entry in the executable blocklist. This oversight allowed these files to be downloaded without any warning of potential harm. Impacted versions include Firefox below 117, Firefox ESR below 102.15, Firefox ESR below 115.2, Thunderbird below 102.15, and Thunderbird below 115.2.
