Summary

CVE-2023-45675 is a vulnerability affecting the stb_vorbis library, which is used for processing OGG Vorbis files. A specially crafted file can cause an out-of-bounds write issue in the `f->vendor[len]` assignment. This occurs when the length `len` read in `start_decoder` is `-1` and `len + 1` becomes 0 when passed to `setup_malloc`. The library behaves differently in this scenario depending on whether `f->alloc.alloc_buffer` is pre-allocated. In the pre-allocated case, `setup_malloc` shifts the pre-allocated buffer by zero and returns the currently available memory block instead of `NULL`. This vulnerability may lead to arbitrary code execution.
