Summary

CVE-2023-45670 is a vulnerability affecting the open-source network video recorder, Frigate, prior to version 0.13.0 Beta 3. The `config/save` and `config/set` endpoints are found to be missing Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) protection. This flaw allows an attacker to manipulate Frigate server configurations through specially crafted links, requiring both knowledge of a user's Frigate instance and successful luring of an authenticated user to the attacker's page. This vulnerability can lead to arbitrary configuration updates, potentially resulting in denial of service and data exfiltration. It's essential to upgrade to version 0.13.0 Beta 3 to apply the patch and secure your Frigate server against this threat.
