CVE-2023-45667 is a vulnerability affecting the stb_image library, specifically the function `stbi_load_gif_from_memory` within it. When `stbi__load_gif_main` fails to load a GIF image, it returns a null pointer, which is then used in a subsequent call to `stbi__vertical_flip_slices`. This uninitialized `z` value can lead to a program crash if the vertical flip flag is set. The MIT licensed library is used for processing images, making this a potential security risk for applications that rely on it.
