Summary

CVE-2023-45539 is a vulnerability affecting HAProxy versions before 2.8.2. The issue permits remote attackers to manipulate URI components with the "#" symbol, potentially obtaining sensitive information or causing unspecified other impacts. This can be exploited by misinterpreting a path_end rule, resulting in unexpected routing of requests, such as directing index.html#.png to a static server instead of the intended destination.
