Summary

CVE-2023-45234 is a newly identified buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the Network Package component of EDK2. This issue arises when processing DNS Servers option from a DHCPv6 Advertise message. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending maliciously crafted DHCPv6 messages, potentially resulting in unauthorized access and serious consequences including loss of Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability.
