Summary

CVE-2023-45144 affects the com.xwiki.identity-oauth:identity-oauth-ui package, which is used to build identity and service providers based on OAuth authorizations in XWiki. This vulnerability allows for cross-site scripting (XSS) and XWiki syntax injection when a user logs in via the OAuth method. The malicious code sent in the GET request can result in remote code execution via the groovy macro, leading to confidentiality, integrity, and availability issues for the entire XWiki installation. No known workarounds exist, and users are advised to upgrade to Identity OAuth version 1.6 to mitigate the risk.
