Summary

CVE-2023-45106 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting versions 2.8.33 of the Urvanov Syntax Highlighter plugin developed by Fedor Urvanov and Aram Kocharyan. A successful exploit of this vulnerability can allow an attacker to perform unintended actions on a user's behalf, potentially leading to data theft or unauthorized modifications. Due to the nature of CSRF attacks, an attacker needs to trick the user into visiting a malicious website or clicking a malicious link. Users are strongly advised to upgrade to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this risk.
