Summary

CVE-2023-4506 is a vulnerability affecting the Active Directory Integration / LDAP Integration plugin for WordPress. This issue arises from insufficient validation in versions up to 4.1.10 when altering the LDAP server. As a result, attackers with administrative access can manipulate the LDAP server and obtain the credentials for the original server through a technique known as LDAP Passback. This flaw poses a significant risk, particularly for organizations using WordPress with the vulnerable plugin, and it is recommended that users upgrade to a secure version as soon as possible.
