Summary

CVE-2023-45049 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting versions 4.6.7 and below of the Ciprian Popescu YouTube Playlist Player plugin. An attacker can inject malicious scripts into a YouTube playlist link, which, when viewed by an unsuspecting user, can execute the scripts in their browser. This can lead to unintended actions such as session hijacking, data theft, or even complete system takeover. Users are advised to update the plugin or consider disabling it until a patch is released.
