Summary

CVE-2023-45044 is a recently disclosed buffer copy vulnerability that affects several QNAP operating system versions. This issue arises when input size is not checked during a copy operation, potentially allowing authenticated administrators to execute code over a network. The vulnerability has been addressed in QTS 5.1.4.2596 build 20231128 and later, as well as QuTS hero h5.1.4.2596 build 20231128 and later.
