Summary

CVE-2023-4488 is a local file inclusion vulnerability affecting the Dropbox Folder Share plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the editor-view.php file, which can be exploited by unauthenticated attackers to include and execute arbitrary files on the server. This vulnerability allows for the execution of any PHP code found in those files, leading to potential data breaches and code execution. Attackers can bypass access controls, obtain sensitive information, or achieve further system compromise through this vulnerability, making it a significant threat. Versions of the plugin up to and including 1.9.7 are reportedly affected.
