Summary

CVE-2023-44834 is a recently disclosed buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the D-Link DIR-823G A1V1.0.2B05 router. The issue lies within the SetParentsControlInfo function, which can be exploited by attackers through a specially crafted input in the StartTime parameter. Successful exploitation leads to a Denial of Service (DoS) condition, preventing legitimate users from accessing the router's services. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as attackers can easily trigger the DoS condition, causing disruptions in network connectivity and potentially leading to more sophisticated attacks.
