Summary

CVE-2023-44833 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting the D-Link DIR-823G A1V1.0.2B05 router. The issue lies in the SetWLanRadioSettings function, which contains a buffer overflow vulnerability. This flaw can be exploited by attackers through a specially crafted input, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) condition. By sending malicious data to the GuardInt parameter, attackers can cause the buffer to overflow, resulting in the router crashing and becoming unresponsive. Users are recommended to update their routers to the latest firmware to mitigate this risk.
