Summary

CVE-2023-44829 is a newly identified buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the D-Link DIR-823G A1V1.0.2B05 router. This issue is located in the SetDeviceSettings function and can be exploited by attackers through a specially crafted input in the AdminPassword parameter. Successful exploitation leads to a Denial of Service (DoS) condition, disrupting the normal functioning of the router. Users are advised to update their devices to the latest firmware to mitigate this risk.
