Summary

CVE-2023-44473 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Michael Tran Table of Contents Plus plugin versions up to 230. This issue allows attackers to craft malicious requests that, when executed by an unsuspecting user, can force the user to perform unintended actions within the affected application. Such actions may include but not limited to account takeover, data modification, or even privilege escalation. CSRF attacks are typically carried out by tricking users into clicking on a maliciously crafted link or visiting an infected website. To mitigate this risk, it is strongly recommended that users update their plugin to the latest version, and implement appropriate CSRF tokens or other protective measures in their applications.
