Summary

CVE-2023-44385 is a Client-Side Request Forgery vulnerability affecting the Home Assistant Companion app for iOS and macOS up to version 2023.4. Malicious links or QR codes sent to victims can trigger the app to call arbitrary services within their Home Assistant installation, potentially resulting in full compromise and remote code execution (RCE). Users are strongly advised to upgrade to version 2023.7 as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
