Summary

CVE-2023-44383 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting October CMS, a popular Content Management System (CMS) used for development workflows. This issue enables a user with access to the media manager, which stores SVG files, to inject malicious scripts into these files. Consequently, any user with access to the media manager, particularly those handling SVG files, is at risk of XSS attacks. The vulnerability has been addressed in version 3.5.2, and it is highly recommended that users update their systems to mitigate the threat.
