Summary

CVE-2023-44338 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 23.006.20360 and earlier, as well as 20.005.30524 and earlier. This out-of-bounds read issue arises when the software fails to properly check boundaries during file parsing. As a result, an attacker could potentially read data beyond the allocated memory structure. Such an attack could culminate in the execution of malicious code in the context of the current user. To exploit this vulnerability, the victim must open a specially crafted file.
