Summary

CVE-2023-44322 is a vulnerability affecting multiple SCALANCE and RUGGEDCOM devices, including RM1224 LTE(4G) EU and NAM, SCALANCE M804PB, M812-1 ADSL-Router, M816-1 ADSL-Router, M826-2 SHDSL-Router, M874-2, M874-3, M876-3 (ROK), M876-3 (EU), M876-4, SCALANCE MUM853-1 (EU), MUM856-1 (EU), MUM856-1 (RoW), and S615 EEC LAN-Router and S615 LAN-Router. These devices can be configured to send emails upon certain events, and when an invalid response from an SMTP server is received, the device triggers an error that halts email sending. An attacker on the network can exploit this to prevent users from receiving notifications for important device events. Devices with versions below V8.0 are affected.
