Summary

CVE-2023-44250 is a privilege escalation vulnerability [CWE-269] affecting Fortinet FortiOS HA clusters running versions 7.4.0 through 7.4.1 and 7.2.5, as well as FortiProxy HA clusters using the same versions. An attacker who has already gained authentication can exploit this issue by crafting specific HTTP or HTTPS requests, enabling them to carry out elevated actions within the system. This raises serious security concerns, as it allows unauthorized access and potential system compromise.
