Summary
CVE-2023-4423 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the WP Event Manager plugin for WordPress, versions up to and including 3.1.37.1. This issue arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the admin settings, enabling authenticated attackers with administrator-level permissions to inject malicious web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing a significant security risk. Notably, this vulnerability only impacts multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled.
