Summary

CVE-2023-44198 is an Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability impacting the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) ALG feature in Juniper Networks Junos OS on SRX Series and MX Series. Maliciously crafted SIP packets that are rejected due to being malformed can be retransmitted and forwarded as valid, potentially leading to integrity issues in connected networks. Affected versions include 20.4 prior to 20.4R3-S5, 21.1 prior to 21.1R3-S4, 21.2 prior to 21.2R3-S4, 21.3 prior to 21.3R3-S3, 21.4 prior to 21.4R3-S2, 22.1 prior to 22.1R2-S2, 22.1R3, 22.2 prior to 22.2R2-S1, 22.2R3, 22.3 prior to 22.3R1-S2, and 22.3R2. This issue does not affect releases prior to 20.4R1.
