Summary

CVE-2023-44194 is a vulnerability affecting Juniper Networks Junos OS that allows unauthenticated attackers with local access to the device to create a backdoor with root privileges. This is due to improper directory permissions on a specific system directory, enabling an attacker to exploit the issue and gain elevated access. Affected versions include all releases prior to 20.4R3-S5, 21.1 versions before 21.1R3-S4, 21.2 versions before 21.2R3-S4, 21.3 versions before 21.3R3-S3, and 21.4 versions before 21.4R3-S1.
