Summary
CVE-2023-43816 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting Delta Electronics' DOPSoft version 2 industrial automation software. This issue is triggered when parsing the wKPFStringLen field of a DPS file. An attacker can exploit this flaw by supplying a maliciously crafted DPS file to induce a user to open it, ultimately resulting in code execution. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to industrial systems and requires immediate attention and patching to prevent potential exploitation.
