CVE-2023-43782 is a vulnerability affecting Cadence versions up to 0.9.2 through August 2023. This issue involves the use of an insecure temporary file, specifically /tmp/.cadence-aloop-daemon.x. Before Cadence starts, this file is used, making it susceptible to manipulation by a local adversary who may have created it prior. If the adversary deletes the file, they can disrupt the functionality of Cadence.
