Summary

CVE-2023-4372 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the LiteSpeed Cache plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to 5.6, arises due to insufficient sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the 'esi' shortcode. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions or higher can exploit this vulnerability to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
