Summary

CVE-2023-43640 is a SQL injection vulnerability affecting TaxonWorks, a web-based workbench used by taxonomists and biodiversity scientists. Before version 0.34.0, this vulnerability allowed authenticated attackers to access arbitrary data from the TaxonWorks database, including sensitive information in the users table. This issue poses a risk of information disclosure. TaxonWorks has addressed this vulnerability in version 0.34.0 with the implementation of a fix.
