Summary

CVE-2023-43512 is a transient Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability affecting the parsing of GATT (Bluetooth Low Energy) service data. The issue arises when the total memory requirement of multiple services exceeds the actual size of the service buffer. As a result, the parsing process encounters an overflow, leading to the DoS condition. This vulnerability could potentially be exploited by sending specially crafted GATT service data to a Bluetooth device, causing it to become unresponsive or crash. Devices running software that is susceptible to this vulnerability should be updated as soon as possible to mitigate the risk.
