Summary

CVE-2023-43495 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Jenkins versions 2.423 and earlier, as well as LTS 2.414.1 and earlier. The issue arises due to Jenkins' failure to properly escape the value of the 'caption' constructor parameter in 'ExpandableDetailsNote'. Attackers capable of controlling this parameter can exploit the vulnerability to inject malicious scripts, potentially leading to unauthorized access or data theft.
