Summary

CVE-2023-43358 is a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting CMSmadeSimple version 2.2.18. An attacker, who is locally privileged, can exploit this flaw by injecting malicious scripts into the Title parameter in the News Menu component. Successful exploitation grants the attacker the ability to execute arbitrary code on the victim's webpage, potentially leading to data theft, unauthorized access, or further attacks. Users are strongly advised to update their CMSmadeSimple installations to a patched version to mitigate this risk.
