Summary

CVE-2023-42962 is a recently identified vulnerability that, if exploited, could allow a remote attacker to induce a denial-of-service (DoS) on Apple devices running older versions of iOS and iPadOS. Specifically, this issue was discovered to involve inadequate checks, which have now been improved in the latest releases of iOS 17.2 and iPadOS 17.2, as well as in iOS 16.7.3 and iPadOS 16.7.3.
