Summary

CVE-2023-4294 is a vulnerability affecting the URL Shortify WordPress plugin before version 1.7.6. This issue allows unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious JavaScript codes into the plugin's admin panel. The flaw stems from the plugin's failure to properly escape the referer header, enabling an attacker to trigger the malicious script just by visiting a crafted short link. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it can lead to unauthorized access and data theft within the WordPress admin interface.
