Summary

CVE-2023-42919 is a privacy vulnerability that has been addressed in multiple Apple operating systems, including macOS Sonoma 14.2, iOS 17.2, iPadOS 17.2, watchOS 10.2, macOS Ventura 13.6.3, iOS 16.7.3, and iPadOS 16.7.3, as well as macOS Monterey 12.7.2. Prior to the fix, an application had the potential to access sensitive user data due to insufficient private data redaction in log entries. This issue puts users' privacy at risk and has been mitigated through improved redaction techniques.
