Summary
CVE-2023-42917 is a memory corruption vulnerability that Apple has addressed in iOS 17.1.2 and iPadOS 17.1.2, macOS Sonoma 14.1.2, and Safari 17.1.2. This issue can lead to arbitrary code execution while processing web content. The flaw has been reported to have been exploited in earlier versions of iOS, specifically before iOS 16.7.1.
