Summary

CVE-2023-4279 is a vulnerability affecting the User Activity Log plugin for WordPress before version 1.6.7. The issue lies in the plugin's handling of client IP addresses. Instead of relying on trusted sources, it retrieves IP addresses from headers that may be manipulated by attackers. As a result, an adversary can alter the IP address value, potentially masking the origin of malicious traffic. This can lead to security evasion and compromise of the WordPress site. Users are advised to upgrade to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this risk.
