Summary

CVE-2023-4270 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Min Max Control WordPress plugin before version 4.6. The issue arises due to insufficient sanitization and escaping of user input before it is displayed on the page. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious scripts into the parameter, which can then be executed in the context of the affected user, posing a significant risk to high privilege users such as admins. This can result in unauthorized data access, modification, or theft, and may also lead to the installation of malware or other forms of unauthorized system compromise. Users are strongly advised to update to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this risk.
