Summary

CVE-2023-4248 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the GiveWP plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 2.33.3 are susceptible to this issue. The root cause is a missing or incorrect nonce validation on the 'give_stripe_disconnect_connect_stripe_account' function. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by crafting malicious requests and tricking a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link. Successful exploitation results in the deactivation of the plugin's Stripe integration settings, potentially putting sensitive financial information at risk. It is recommended that users update to the latest version of the GiveWP plugin to mitigate this vulnerability.
