Summary

CVE-2023-42479 is a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability that allows an unauthenticated attacker to inject malicious code into a Biller Direct URL. When a user loads the framed URL, a hidden request is submitted to the Biller Direct system. This attack can result in the disclosure or modification of non-sensitive information. Attackers cannot gain complete system access, but they can manipulate the information displayed to users. This vulnerability highlights the importance of input validation and user interaction protections to prevent XSS attacks.
