Summary

CVE-2023-42471 is a vulnerability affecting version 1.0.35 of the wave.ai.browser application on Android. An attacker can exploit this issue by crafting a malicious intent, which is then passed to the application. The vulnerability lies in the SplashScreen activity, which uses a WebView component to display web content without properly validating or sanitizing the URI or intent data from third-party applications. As a result, an attacker can inject and execute arbitrary JavaScript code, potentially leading to unauthorized access or data theft.
