CVE-2023-42467 is a vulnerability affecting QEMU versions up to 8.0.0. The issue stems from a division by zero error in the function scsi_disk_reset within hw/scsi/scsi-disk.c. This error arises due to scsi_disk_emulate_mode_select failing to restrict the block size (s->qdev.blocksize) from being set to 256.
