Summary

CVE-2023-42442 is a vulnerability affecting JumpServer, an open-source bastion host and security audit system. Versions prior to 3.5.5 and 3.6.4 are susceptible to unauthenticated access to session replays via the `/api/v1/terminal/sessions/` API. The responsible permission control is broken, allowing any matched permission to grant access. This issue can lead to sensitive data exposure. Upgrading to versions 3.5.5 or 3.6.4 resolves the vulnerability, and after upgrading, an expected 401 (not_authenticated) HTTP response code should be received when attempting to access the API.
